Imagine Your New Self

Imagine Your New Self

Re-Creating Your Self by Christopher Stone

Imagination is funny

It makes a cloudy day sunny

It makes a bee think of honey

Just as I think of you

So begins a classic from the Great American Songbook. Yes, imagination can be funny, but, for the purpose of Re-Creating Your Self, imagination is also a powerful tool for change that can help you to accept the new beliefs in your Blueprint for Personal Change.

What is imagination? For me, imagination is simply the mental formation of an image or concept that is not physically real or present. That doesn’t make imagination just another fantasy. Whatever we imagine is created mentally and is real on that level, if not on the physical plane. Quite simply, then, imagination is one form of mental reality.

Imagination is one of humankind’s most purely creative processes. Undirected, it is also one of the most fickle. Sometimes we imagine that which we fear and don’t want to see created physically – an illness, an accident, poverty, war. Other times we imagine that which we desire strongly to become real physically – health, career success, peace, financial freedom, etc. This column is about training your self to consciously employ your imagination in a manner that will help you to accept your new beliefs.

CREATIVE DAYDREAMING

Like positive thinking, imagination has been a cornerstone of many self-improvement methods. It has variously been called creative visualization, dynamic imaging, positive picturing and mental imagery.

In Re-Creating Your Self, imagination as a tool for personal change is called creative daydreaming. I chose that term because everyone daydreams; they already know how to daydream. In truth, I’ve had students tell me that they frequently remember their mental daydreams more vividly than they recall many physical experiences.

For most of us, daydreaming begins very early in life. During childhood, daydreams rescue us from boring school lessons, embarrassing situations and heady church sermons we don’t comprehend. Daydreams frequently place us in a more appealing, exciting environment. Though we may remain physically in arithmetic class or the church pew, mentally, our daydreams transport us to a forest, where we single-handedly slay a two-headed, fire-breathing dragon, or perhaps, we’re transported to a beautiful blue lagoon.

In adulthood, we make similar use of daydreams to escape the doldrums of a dull job, or the stupefying boredom of a stale business meeting, lecture or ceremony that we’re compelled to attend. And let’s not forget sexual fantasies. They are often the catalyst for our most vivid daydreams.

One of the reasons that creative daydreaming is such a trusty tool for personal change is that most everyone is already an expert in this field.

One dictionary definition of daydream is “a mental fantasy while awake that fulfills wishes, hopes or desires.” Your creative daydreams are going to utilize your imagination to fulfill your wish to become the person you want to be, living the life you desire.

There are a few basic differences between your usual daydreams and the creative daydreams involved in Re-Creating Your Self:

* Creative daydreaming is a planned event, not a spontaneous happening like most of your usual daydreams.

* In creative daydreaming, you choose your subject in advance. The subject of most usual daydreams is random, spontaneous.

* The subject of a creative daydream is something that is obtainable in physical life, such as health, a better paying job, a loving relationship. In a usual daydream, your subject may not be obtainable in the physical world. For example, where on Earth will you find a two-headed fire-breathing dragon to slay?

WHY CREATIVE DAYDREAMING WORKS

Your beliefs, expressed through mental and physical actions, create the life that you know as your own. But the mental action always exists first and determines the kind of physical manifestation that will be created.

Because imagination produces mighty mental actions, we tend to eventually create physically that which we imagine first. For better or worse, the more intensely we imagine something, the more likely it is to be manifested physically. We can train ourselves to imagine health, financial and career success, happiness and love; by doing so, we help create our new self in fact. In Re-Creating Your Self, creating your new self is the purpose of Creative Daydreaming.

Creative daydreams propel your affirmations a dynamic step further. When you imagine your new self, you do much more than declare that person with words; you mentally see your new self as if s/he already exists. In fact, your new self is a mental reality as soon as you create him or her in your imagination. After your new self becomes a mental reality, the form is set for the physical manifestation.

A Re-Creating Your Self Thought: Because imagining sometime is a powerful first step toward making it physically real, I strongly suggest that you don’t entertain, even briefly, those things you wouldn’t want to see physically real and present in your life, or in the world in general.

The power of choice and free will

Do you exercise your power of choice to make you happy or do you use it and let it make you angry. You have free will to choose what you do, how you do it and how you feel. About everything.

Say you have three friends and one of them wins $100,000.00 in the lottery. Now 100K is not a lot of money. It seems that way until you start spending it and then you begin to realize how little it really is. It might be enough to get a new car and pay off some bills but it’s not really a life changing event. At least not in a huge way.

So your one friend won the money and she’s very happy. Of your other two friends one is bery happy for the winner and the other is very angry and upset that she didn’t win. Of the two the happy one says how glad she is her other friend won and that now she can get her life a little more straightened up and have a few of the things she really wants. She’s actually glad her friend won.

The other friend of yours is very upset and angry that your friend won. Bitter because she herself didn’t win and says disparaging things about the friend who won, how she didn’t need the money and how she needed it much more than the friend who won it.

She bitches about it so much you don’t even want to be around her. She’s so angry that someone else won she gets depressed about it. I’m pretty sure you’ve seen that situation at least once if not many times within your circle of friends.

Now let me ask you this, which of your friends that didn’t win has the better and happier life? The one who is glad the other friend won or the one who bitches and complains and is angry your other friend won?

In general the person who is happy about the other friend winning will have the happier and better life. Not always but the vast majority of the time. Yes, there are exceptions to everything.

Why does one make the choice to be happy and why does the other friend make the choice to be angry? Always keep in mind that moods, happiness and anger or bitterness are choices that people make. It’s an exercise of free will. Which choice do you make?

Do you make the free will choice that will make you happy, calm and peaceful or do you make the choice that will make you angry and bitter? BTW, which of these two people gets more of the things they want, the one who was happy or the one who was bitter?

Making a choice to be happy almost always bring you more things to make you happy. Making the choice to be angry and bitter does the opposite and brings more angriness and bitterness into your life.

It’s a lot like my expecting a great parking space everywhere I go. My GF couldn’t believe it again the other day. We went 7 different places, on a Saturday and every place we went I got the absolutely closest parking space to the door that I could get. Even if the lot had been 100% empty.

This is what I expect to get. What does the happy person you know expect to get? What does the bitter, angry person expect to get. Lol, I bet they both get exactly what they expect, don’t they?

Does that make you think a bit or do you think it’s just a coincidence? Perhaps you ought to start making choices that bring you more happiness and see how much better your life will get.

It really is your free will to choose how you feel about something. Be glad when good things happen to others and more good things will happen to you.

When is a Psychic not being truthful?

By Jack Levine

We all love to go to psychics and hear what our future has in store for us. But how do we know that the psychic is giving us genuine information and not just feeding us false information? There are some tip offs that will let you know that the person you are dealing with is not being honest with you and trying to take your money.

The first thing that you should watch for when you visit the psychic is if they ask you too many questions about your history and background. Remember that these people are very good at what they do so the questions might appear to be harmless chitchat. There isn’t a need to ask a lot of questions when you visit with a true and genuine psychic.

You should also pay attention to their claims about their abilities. If they are boasting about their predictions or claiming that what they are telling you is concrete fact, they are most likely not a genuine psychic or tarot card reader. A true psychic knows that the future is never certain and that if you make changes to the path you are on, your future will change as well.

A psychic will give you the information that they see according to the path that you are currently travelling down. If the news is not good from the tarot card reader or psychic, you have it in your power to change this possible future. Knowing what the future holds for you can give you the incentive to make positive changes in your life.

Another tip off that the psychic does not have any true abilities is their constant chitchat during the reading. Many people don’t realize how much they are conversing with the psychic and letting valuable information slip right out to the psychic. These psychics merely give you back the same information that you just gave to them, and most people aren’t even aware that they are doing it.

When you visit with the psychic, sit back and listen to what they have to tell you or what the cards are showing you. Don’t engage in a great deal of conversation with the psychic, they should be doing a majority of the talking. It is possible to be pleasant and still keep your information to yourself.

You should also watch out for psychics or tarot card readers who tell you that you have a curse on you or a demon following you. This is a scare tactic that some immoral tarot card readers use to get you to come back to them for help. Eventually, they will request a great deal of money from you to help you with your problem.

If you are going through a difficult period in your life, it is natural to talk about the problem with the psychic. It is perfectly all right to ask questions about the difficulty, but do not give them too much information. Just ask your question and wait to see what they say.

Power Your Mind for Mediumship

An interesting article by author: Irwin Myers

Power your mind for mediumship, and you will tap into your psychic talents in a way you may not expect. If you suspect that you have some amount of medium ability, or you would like to try out some exercises to see if you have any prowess, there are several options to consider that will help you not only become aware of your medium skills, but also help you enhance them.

Some people are naturally gifted with a strong aptitude for being a medium. For the rest of us it is necessary to build up our energy field through meditation. In as little as ten to twenty minutes daily, you can fight away negative energy and make yourself more attuned to the spirit world. It would also be a wise idea to try to ground your energy field by imagining your feet as tree roots extending into the earth, tapping into the planet’s energy. This energy should fill your body from the bottom up. This will not only strengthen your field, but also assist in aligning your chakras. After grounding your energy, it is necessary to clear it. To do this, you will need to power your mind and meditate with a focus on surrounding yourself in a white energy that removes any darkness.

Power your mind by trying some exercises in clairvoyance and other similar skills, such as clairaudience and clairsentience. You are likely to be more gifted in one clairvoyant ability over another, which is a perfectly natural occurrence. This ability will become your primary method of communing with the spirit world. If you are stronger in clairaudience than any other form of clairvoyance, you are most likely to hear audible communication from the dead.

If you are more gifted in telepathy, then you will most likely get mental impressions. Know your strengths and piggyback on them to communicate with spirits, if that is your goal. Keep in mind that there are forces of good and forces of evil and you must exhibit caution when tampering with this area of the psychic world.

If you are seeking to contact a professional medium, be aware that this skill is not the ability to read minds. This power has to do with communicating with spirits. While you may think that mediumship allows for something along the lines of what you might see in a horror movie, that is absolutely not the case. A medium is able to tap into the energy of the spirit world through their own strengthened energy fields. Should you decide to take up an attempt to increase your medium abilities, be sure you know what you are getting into and know what to expect when you begin to power your mind.

The Power of Mind Clairvoyance

Author: Irwin Myers

The power of mind features many different aspects, and it can be a challenge to keep them straight at times. Clairvoyance is often confused with precognition, but is more along the lines of remote viewing. Literally meaning “clear vision,” clairvoyance is the psychic ability to obtain information through sight that you have no basis for knowing. These could be visions of the future, but unlike precognition, they are not always a glimpse into what has yet to occur.

Exercise is very important to developing and strengthening your clairvoyance. For this exercise, begin by selecting a place that you are familiar with, but not somewhere you go regularly. You will not be working in this space, but rather viewing it from afar. A room in a friend’s house might work for this, just as long as there is an element of mystery to the space. A public location also works well. A library or other quiet environment you do not visit regularly works wonders, especially if you have a general grasp of its layout. The goal of this exercise is to use the power of mind to create a clairvoyant telescope. This will help you be able to look into a location of your choice once your psychic talents have become stronger.

Imagine a telescope inside your mind. It can look however you choose. Focus the eye of your mental telescope onto your chosen location. If you chose a library, try picturing on an aisle of books. Then close in on a particular shelf. Take notice of the books on the shelf. You might even want to write down the specific books so that you can check your results. It would be unwise for you to preemptively make lists of books on various shelves in the library, as these will be on your mind. Taking that measure will inhibit your psychic growth.

To use your psychic telescope in other facets. Try out working with a partner over the internet or by telephone. Like the previous exercise, this works best when you are somewhat familiar with the space you are scanning. Have a friend move around some objects in his or her room, which can be any room in their house, and use the power of mind to spot the locations of various objects. You do not have to look for the things they have moved around. Just the fact that you are exercising your psychic telescope is enough to increase your clairvoyance and enhance the power of mind.
